A new article outlines a new Wnt-5a/cAMP/DARPP-32 mediated mechanism whereby Wnt-5a can inhibit breast cancer cell migration. This article is published in the Journal of Biological Chemistry 284, 27533-27543, 2009. |

A new review on Wnt-5a and breast cancer was published in Cell Cycle 8:1838-1842, 2009. This review discuss the potential use of the Wnt-5a-derived hexapeptide Foxy-5 in future treatment strategies of breast cancer. |

A new Wnt-5a paper was published in J. Biol. Chem. on the 25th of February, 2009. This study demonstrates that Wnt-5a effectively increases cell-cell interaction in breast epithelial cells.

A new Wnt-5a paper was published in Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci. on the 23rd of February, 2009. This study demonstrates that Wnt-5a and the Wnt-5a mimicking peptide Foxy-5 effectively upregulates ERa in ERa negative breast cancer cells both in vitro and in vivo.

A new Wnt-5a paper was published in Clinical Cancer Research on the 15th of October, 2008. This study demonstrates that the Wnt-5a mimicking peptide Foxy-5 effectively inhibits breast cancer metastasis to the lungs and the liver in a mouse model.
A new article outlines a novel Wnt5a antagonist hexapeptide that antagonizes the promoting effect of Wnt5a on melanoma cell migration and invasion. This article was E-published ahead of print in the Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci. on November 9th, 2009.
